One of only 141 Roadsters built between 1952 - 1956. These were the Post War successors to the fabulous 540Ks. Completely hand built at a cost of over $12,000.00. This is when a Gullwing cost just over $8,000.00, and a Cadillac ElDorado was just over $3,000.00! This is a numbers-matching, running and driving car that requires restoration. Optional luggage, and Becker Mexico radio. Very rare.

It has books, tools, belly pans, and service history back to '84. Hop in it, and drive it to Ca. This car actually drove with us from Essex, Ma. to Monterey, Ca. in '86 for the 100th Anniversary of MB. One of the nicest, and best running GWs we've ever had.

1956 Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing
$725,000

Chassis # 5500737, Engine # 5500791, Body # 5500716. Built in Sept. '55, and sold new in Ca. as a '56 model. Purchased new by George Georges in Pasadena, Ca. and kept until 1984 when he sold it to his son. His son kept it in the family until 2005 when he sold it to noted Ca. restorer, Scott Grundfor. The car had its original paint and interior, and had no rust or accident damage. Scott did the paint, chrome, and interior in the original color combo of DB534 Fire Engine Red with 1060 Creme leather. He also did a complete engine bay detail, new wiring harness, new lines, hoses, and belts. At this time the complete brake system was overhauled, and a new clutch assembly installed. Currently it has only 60K orig. miles and has all its service records since 1960. It is complete with belly pans, books, tools, jack and spare. A wonderful Gullwing with a fabulous history. Ready for Tours or Show.

1942 Chevy Woodie Wagon
$POA SOLD

AACA Jr., and Sr. Awards at Hershey. Believed to be the only '42 Chevy Woodie extant. Built for the U.S. Coast Guard, and based in Bath, Me. during the war. Due to the value of chromium during the war effort in the manufacturing of armament, the government forbade Detroit from chroming anything except bumpers during late 1941 and early 1942 production. Ultimately, the government banned the manufacture of all automobiles in Jan. 1942, in order to convert all production facilities to the building of tanks, etc., for the war effort. Thus, any 1942 model is by definition a rare bird. This spectacular example has its original wood, and is detailed top to bottom. It features Chevrolet's incredible OHV 'Stovebolt' six cylinder engine. You'll never see another one like it.
