About Us
Over 45 Years of Excellence
Over Forty Five Years of History
Whether our expertise is being employed on a car that is fully restored or one that is completely original, it is applied with concern for the future of the car in mind. We value what these cars were in their day, and our work respects for the workmanship and execution of the original builder.
Our extensive experience provides us with a unique perspective on cars that are perhaps no longer fresh and gleaming. When a car has enjoyed sympathetic care and maintenance over its life, it deserves an intelligent approach to its ongoing preservation. At times it is more appropriate to restrain the urge to make a car like new again, perhaps a surprising concept to be promoted by a company renowned for its body-off restorations. While we do not recommend a ground-up restoration on every car, we do advocate performing all necessary work with respect for historical accuracy.
We feel it is our responsibility to be well versed in the minutiae of the original manufacturing process. You can expect us to fully investigate a car’s history, to make the correct decision on details that you will most likely never see, to preserve original characteristics, and to monitor productivity and maximize labor value.

“When the guys come to work and look around the shop ... they see cars. And their job is to put those cars back on the road in perfect running order - in most cases, better than new.”
Jean Jennings, “Monterey or Bust”, Automobile Magazine
our philosophy.

“We have a simple philosophy: A car has to work well, not just be pretty to look at. We are most satisfied when we are able to preserve a classic car at the highest level of performance as well as beauty.”

PAUL RUSSELL, FOUNDER & OWNER
Paul Russell continues to be hands-on with the business, diligently pursuing the details that apply to all facets of a car’s preservation, whether on the shop floor discussing the intricacies of a repair procedure with the team or chasing down a critical piece of historical information.
His passion, to preserve the great examples of automotive design and to honor their original construction details, fuels everything we do. Paul’s underlying goal is to reproduce, whenever feasible, the period construction techniques so that future generations are able to see the car as it was originally conceived and built.
Andy Hilton, General Manager
Andy’s love for cars started at early age, but he never imagined making a career out of that passion. His professional journey started in the music industry as an A&R representative, from there he went on to be the Production Manager at one of the largest online shoe retailers; and while he gained a significant amount of experience in each role, he was searching for a place with a greater purpose. Andy is an accomplished guitarist and singer currently playing in a band, and loves music for what it does, connect people in a way that transcends all barriers. He’ll tell you; cars do the same thing!
For more than a decade now, he’s lived out his dream here at Paul Russell and Company. Andy believes it’s not what you do for work that’s most important but rather how you do it and who you do it with. He is honored and humbled to work amongst the world-renowned craftspeople and office team. He is energized by the opportunity to apply his deep-rooted passion for automotive craftsmanship by facilitating strategic communication, team-based problem solving and an unwavering commitment to the details. Most importantly, Andy is committed to ensuring that Paul Russell and Company continues to thrive as the premier destination for those seeking meticulous car restoration, where every detail tells a story and every restoration is a work of art.
