Paul Russell, current Chair of the Advisory Board, is especially proud to report that McPherson College Automotive Restoration was announced as Industry Supporter of the Year at the International Historic Motoring Awards 2015. The Industry Supporter award recognizes “the ‘outside world’ – in the form of companies, organizations, institutions or individuals whose core business lies away from the international historic car industry…”. This year, International Historic Motoring Awards “paid tribute to the way America’s McPherson College is educating the historic car preservers of the future with its innovative four-year Automotive Restoration degree program.”

Amanda Gutierrez, Vice President for Automotive Restoration, said: “This is a wonderful recognition of everyone who has worked so hard to make the automotive restoration program a success – our campus community, alumni, advisory board and supporters. This is the international stage affirming the quality and value of what we’ve built during the last 40 years.”
McPherson College Automotive Restoration was in fantastic company among the other finalists for the award. These included such well-known organizations as: Hagerty Insurance, Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, Porsche Motorsports North America, and The Royal Automobile Club.
This award further recognizes the momentum of the program moving into a multi-year strategic plan to solidify the Automotive Restoration program at McPherson College as the center of excellence for students serious about automotive restoration. Part of that plan involves utilizing the restoration of a Pebble Beach eligible classic, such as a Mercedes-Benz 300S, to demonstrate the highest levels of restoration skills, time management, goal setting, budgeting, and teamwork.
