Many of today’s top concours events include originality in their judging criteria. In preparation for presenting a restoration project at such an event, we assemble pertinent documents and images in support of our thought processes, offering historical context for the decisions taken during our authentic restorations. On the day of the show, these pages of research and references are assembled in a simple ring binder and shared with judges, car owners, and enthusiasts. On our website, those familiar with the Portfolio section will be aware that we often include a slide show of images illustrating the restoration process, and always share a slide show of the finished car.
It seemed to us that a logical next step would be to create a printed book containing all three of these components: The Research, The Restoration, and The Results. With the kind permission of the car owners, we can now offer two books we have recently completed: The Ferrari 212 Vignale Coupe No.0267 EU, and The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa No.0724 TR. Available through the on-line book publisher Blurb, all ordering, printing, and delivery is handled by them. We will continue to put our emphasis on the preservation of these great cars, and publish more books only as time allows.
