We are not alone when we declare ourselves fans of the Revs Institute for Automotive Research. The good they are doing for the classic car hobby, through their archiving of automotive history for current and future scholars and connoisseurs, cannot be overstated. The Collier Collection consists of “the finest vintage automobiles, and an ever-expanding library of rare books, photographs, documents and ephemera which uniquely catalogues the evolution of automobile design and the industry’s influence on modern culture”.
In perfect alignment with their philosophy of sharing, they are offering a bit of history and beauty in their current series of Salon newsletters. The most recent, a story by John Lamm on the three Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantics, two of which we have had the honor to restore in our workshop, only makes us want more.
